Leading British footwear brand HI-TEC today launched a global first in footwear, the revolutionary ion-mask™ technology.
Held at the London Aquarium on Wednesday August 27th, the launch was hosted by the Gadget Show’s Jason Bradbury. Guests witnessed the ion-mask nano-technology at first hand with demonstrations of how ordinarily super absorbant materials can be transformed to become hydrophobic and water resistant.
During a series interactive demonstrations HI-TEC showed ion-mask™ being put through its paces in the Aquarium's renowned Manta Ray tank. Whilst no Manta Ray's were harmed during the experiments a few guests did get wet!
HI-TEC is launching the world's first ion-mask™ enhanced product this this autumn with the introduction of their V-Lite Altitude Ultra WPi walking boot. SS09 will see the technology evolve further with a collection of more Waterproof (WPi) and also new Hydrophobic (HPi) boots, shoes and sandals.
